Vantage Homes is taking the home-viewing experience to the next level with a cutting-edge virtual reality app provided by Matterport. This user-friendly technology allows for virtual tours of any and all model homes across the many master planned communities that Vantage Homes builds in. Clients can visit many of the builder’s model homes, take a live tour with a customer service associate, and from right where they are sitting view dozens of additional models. “First and foremost, this app saves people time,” says Crystal Johnston, Marketing Manager for Vantage Homes. “If a client is visiting The Mustang ranch model in The Farm, for example, they can fasten on a comfortable virtual reality headset and be instantly transported to the beautiful Arabian model in Flying Horse or The Derby plan at North Fork at Briargate without having to leave the premises.”
As stated on the Matterport website, the app allows people to “experience fully immersive virtual spaces that feel so real, it’s like being there.” After putting on the headset, you truly feel like you are in your selected model home. The image is crystal clear; and as you’d expect when you move your head to look around, you are seeing different areas of the home in real-time, with no lag. You can even see each room from multiple perspectives. The developers have made the software extremely simple to navigate and move through different rooms and levels of the home as well. All you need to do is simply center your focus on the blue dots to be led to different rooms or floors of the home. No more unnecessary trips around town, no more multiple visits to see just one detail – just a fun, easy-to-use app that is at the leading edge of real estate technology. “I have not heard of any other builders in the area offering this virtual reality experience,” says Johnston. “We are excited to make our clients lives that much easier, while helping them build their dream home.”
